Rick Brenner, MAS+ (Moderator)

Rick Brenner is president of Product Safety Advisors, a consulting and outsourced compliance firm advising clients in all facets of consumer product safety. Prior to founding Product Safety Advisors, Rick was CEO and chief compliance officer of Prime Resources, a $100 million consumer products importer in Bridgeport, CT. Rick is considered a foremost expert on best practices for design and manufacture of safe and compliant consumer products. He has served as a resource to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on these matters and was a featured speaker for the Commission at the Fourth North American Consumer Product Safety Summit. In other product safety roles, Rick is past president and executive board member of ICPHSO – the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO.org). In 2008, Rick co-founded the non-profit product safety certification organization QCA, the Quality Certification Alliance (qcalliance.org). In 2015, after serving three years on its board, Brenner was elected chair of PPAI. He is a founder of PPAI’s Product Responsibility Action Group (PRAG) and has co-chaired PPAI’s Product Responsibility Summit each year since its inception in 2011.
Travis Norton (Moderator)

Travis Norton has been with BV for more than 20 years. As the director of global technical services in the Americas region, he leads and manages a technical consultation team. He is an ASTM member, participating on technical committees for textiles and consumer products. Previously, he was the director of global technical services for Europe, Middle East and Africa based in the UK. Prior to that, Travis has worked in global project management, engineering and technical services in Hong Kong. He has also worked in laboratory operations in Hong Kong, China and Buffalo, NY. Before joining BV, he worked in consumer products manufacturing, for a private brand supplier as a research and development chemist and as a factory QA/QC laboratory supervisor.
Chase Dressman (Moderator)

Chase Dressman is a leader of Taft's Cincinnati Environmental Group. He frequently creates, manages, and negotiates portfolios of regulatory and commercial contracts for national and international companies, with an emphasis on prompt turnaround times and business-oriented solutions. A significant portion of Chase’s practice involves representing companies in the pesticide industry, including manufacturers and distributors of agricultural, conventional, and anti-microbial pesticide products. Chase is an alumnus of Leadership Northern Kentucky (Class of 2013) and Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers (Class 21). He frequently writes and presents on significant environmental matters and issues. He currently serves as the general counsel for the Greater Cincinnati Hazmat Unit, where he provides legal counsel to local fire, emergency, and other first responders. Chase received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, with honors, from Xavier University and earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he was a member of the Kentucky Law Journal, Moot Court, and was selected to and competed on the National Moot Court team. Chase is a life-long resident of the Greater Cincinnati area, where he lives with his wife and children.
