Volunteers are the core of the Association, and PPAI wouldn’t be where it is today without their feedback and efforts. Join us for a conversation with PPAI staff liaisons as we discuss how volunteers impact their work and ultimately better the Association in many ways.

Kathlene Brethowr (Moderator)

Volunteer Programs Coordinator

As the Volunteer Programs Coordinator, Kathlene Brethowr works to create opportunities for professional development through volunteering. Prior to joining PPAI, Kathlene was an Account Manager and Event Coordinator for MOJ Consulting LLC for three years where she received direct experience serving associations in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Kathlene graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Studies with a focus in Business, Sociology, and Kinesiology. 

Maurice Norris

Public Affairs Manager

PPAI

Maurice Norris is the public affairs manager for Promotional Products Association International (PPAI). Currently, Maurice manages the government relations and product responsibility programs at PPAI. In these roles, he monitors legislative and regulatory developments affecting the promotional products industry. Maurice also assists members with compliance challenges facing their businesses and helps them advocate for their companies with various aspects and levels of government. Maurice also serves on the board of the Graphic Communications Workforce Coalition.

Sara Besly

Foundation Manager

Sara Besly is foundation manager for the Promotional Products Education Foundation, a position she has held since December 2004. She works closely with PPEF's 18-member Board of Trustees and oversees the scholarship program and fundraising efforts for PPEF. Besly has 15+ years of nonprofit management and fundraising experience.

Bob McLean

Interim President

Bob is PPAI’s Interim President. He was hired in June 2008 as CFO and was responsible for finance & administration, information technology and the Promotional Products Education Foundation. In October 2011, Bob was promoted to EVP and now also has responsibility for Expo, Expo East and Membership sales and retention.
